On 25th November 2024, the Dean School of Medicine, Dr. Julia Songok hosted a courtesy call by Dr. Desale Teklewen, MD Anaesthesiologist and PhD student at Turku University Finland. From left to right are; Dr Kennedy Imbaya, Anaesthesiologist and member of Faculty MU SOM; Dr. Desale Teklewen, Turku university Finland; Nancy Kiplagat, instructor MTRH College of Medicine; Dr Priscah Mosol, a member of Faculty at MU School of Nursing and Midwifery; and Dr. Protus Kituyi, Anesthesiologist and Chair of Department Surgery and Anaesthesiology at the School of Medicine. The new collaboration has delivered on Design Thinking workshops for students and staff in the College of Health Sciences, and the current focus is centered on capacity building and exchange opportunities in learning by simulation. Much appreciation to all those involved, including the Department of Child Health and Paediatrics. We support these efforts towards the improvement of skills transfer, and retention.
