Commissioner Jemator delivered a compelling address during the 48th Graduation Ceremony


Moi University Alumni Association congratulates Commissioner Dorothy Jemator, Vice-Chair of the Commission on Administrative Justice Ombudsman Kenya and a distinguished alumnus of the School of Law, Class of 2007, for her outstanding role as the Alumni Representative Keynote Speaker during the 48th Graduation Ceremony.
Commissioner Jemator delivered a compelling and inspirational address, reflecting on her formative years as a fresher at Moi University Eldoret Kenya – Foundation of Knowledge. She spoke candidly about arriving with big dreams, accompanied by doubt, fear and emotions familiar to many new students. Through resilience, courage, and determination, she overcame these challenges and went on to achieve excellence in academia and build a remarkable career in the legal profession. Her journey is a powerful testament to what is possible through perseverance and faith in one’s abilities.
Indeed, Commissioner Dorothy Jemator stands as a true reflection of the over 100,000 Moi University alumni who have overcome various odds to excel and make meaningful contributions in diverse capacities across the globe.

After the graduation ceremony, Commissioner Jemator paid a courtesy visit to the School of Law, Annex Campus, where she met with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kotut Kiplagat; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics, Research, Extension and Student Affairs), Prof. Khaemba Ongeti; the Acting Dean, School of Law Ms. Rose Ayugi Masinde and the Alumni Liaison Officer, Mr. Denzel Opakas. During this visit, she generously handed over a donation of a state of the art printer and scanner from the Moi University School of Law, Class of 2007 to the School of Law to support students and staff in their academic and administrative work.
This generous gesture is a clear demonstration of the confidence and faith that alumni continue to have in Moi University, as well as their willingness and commitment to giving back and making the University even better.
