Following the successful implementation and closeout of the 5-year USAID grant under Moi University, the program’s impact on Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) continues to be highly commended. The Moi University College of Health Sciences (CHS) extends its deep appreciation for the steady support provided by the Moi University Council, the Management Board, and AMPATH throughout the implementation period.

To mark the transition, a physical handover ceremony was held on March 25, 2026. Mr. Willy Kiboi, Chief Operations Officer of USAID4TheChild, officially handed over a project vehicle and an assortment of electronics to the Ag. Principal of CHS. The ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the CHS Finance, Procurement, and Transport departments.
These assets will be repurposed to support ongoing learning, research, field activities, and administration at the College. As the university looks forward to new funding opportunities, the CHS community remains hopeful that the OVC and their communities will continue to thrive long after the project’s conclusion.
